  • sadly you can't. HOWEVER i have a method that provides very accurate results 99.98%

what i do is take the melody i want to turn into a midi and put it onto a pure sine wave synth, and then download the mixdown of that as an audio file. then i convert it into a midi file using any website on the internet, just search "mp3 to midi converter" and use whichever site you trust. then i'm able to import the midi file back into audiotool and remove any imperfections. all notes should be the same velocity, unless your original melody wasn't, then it's a little harder to clear up. sometimes there is some garbage around, but its easily cleared up by selecting the anomilies in the velocity view, and anything else left you can clear up normally. takes about 2 minutes to do all of this.
