How can I implement/add 'swing' in audiotool?

Hey

I have a question, I saw a guy on FL adding something known as 'swing', it gave the whole track a more groovy vibe to it. I personally would love to know how I can do the same to my drafts on AT, I tried adding S.Detune onto the whole track by a few dbs. but that's how close I got to making it kinda groovy (of course not detuning the drums or percs). If there's a way I can add 'swing' would be great to know!

  • It's not really covered in the manual unfortunately, but you can add swing via the global shuffle. This'll basically define the percentage amount of delay added to the notes.

In the top bar next to the metronome, you'll see a percentage value - this is where you can adjust the shuffle. In the top left bar (between add devices and history) is your setup modules. Left option is grooves. You'll see 4 sections here: preview, impact, function, and duration.

After you've set up your groove, you apply it in the timeline: if you have a device set up, you can click the gear next to the device name to activate your global shuffle on that device.

No clue is this is still relevant or not seeing as you posted this 4 years ago buuuuuut there's your answer :D
