    the master could be brickwall lowpassed at 16kHz to get rid of some higher scratchy highs

    well the kick is nothing but low end so the transient barely hitting at all. the bass within the berg itself is not gritty at all, but rather dry, even through all the detuning. it has way too much low mids and lows to the point of having no energy. it is also not lowpassed and the those highs are only adding to the dryness of the sound. the bass is not highpassed, and that is only going to collide with the sub. the snare's fundamental could be louder so it can punch through the mix more.
