This is the first of a few that may seem like a sample mix and they are just they are made individually on a different DAW and mixed and arranged here with the help of some other samples. Pls leave ur opinion on it in the comments. Pls can someone tell me if this is a good mix (it isn't mastered yet (I don't think so anyway)

I should Have improved this track in ways Tim Derry enjoys but I can't guarantee it. The sound design may need to be improved but otherwise I hope it is ok (except for maybe the drums where the snare/flick thing could be improved) Feedback is desperately wanted and @Tim Derry , if I invited you to the project, could you help me with the 'atmospheric' feeling because I am really struggling with it and it is now at max overload on my chromebook?

    • k thx

    • Hmm I'm not sure I'll have the time soon, sorry man

But something that always work is to take a saw pad with your chord progression, lower the cutoff frequency, to make it sound smooth and add a stereo detune and a reverb haha

      That's my cheap advice :P

    • needs changing

  • It isn't as good as I wanted it to be but it isn't awful

  • Oh I forgot to change the melody throughout the track sorry tim

    fixed (I think)

  • - The drums don't fit well. That snare is way too harsh for that summer vibe you're looking for. Try using some snap sounds, hit hats too (your literally have no hats in your track), and some toms in the background.

    - the pads are good, I really like that melody too, and the piano is a great add.

    - Nice work with the vocal chops too

    - everything is in mono though, when you hear it with headphones you don't really feel surrounded by the tracks.

    • I didn't actually know who kygo was until I just looked him up on youtube even though I know pretty much all his songs : (

    • That's okay!

Maybe that will sound very cocky, but I think you could take some inspiration from COLD LOVE especially for what I told you concerning the drums and for the stereo (for example on this one I assigned a different 'place' (left/right) to each vocal chop in the drop, I think it adds something

    • Ok I will experiment. I can't guarantee a massive improvement though because I am working with a very high chance of overloads

  • I knew that the Audiotrack gang stands pretty close to the Heisenberg Gang. One more reason I am a member of the Wolf-Gang wich stands very close to the Pulv-Gang. Anyways you know the spam rules of my wall so this is what I am going to tell you about your track.

This kind of fun-fair music is a nightmare for me. and that you did it with another DAW doesn't make it better :)

    • lmao

    • Not your fault. I'm maybe just the wrong person to ask.

    • But I appreciate the effort you put in to listen to it
