    Check your low-mid to mid frequencies because you can create harmonics with a saturator or distortion. I would separate the 808s into two tracks, one with an EQ consisting only of lower sub-range frequencies and the other one eq'd so you only hear the mid, higher frequencies then try to match the levels of the bass by mixing the two 808s I listed so it aligns with your sounding devices (computer speakers, headphones, earphones, studio speakers etc.)

      Also layer your sounds too. Be sure to use the audiotool effects included such as reverb, delay, phaser etc. whatever suits you. It's really good making your arrangement crisp and more movable.
