  thanks Katana, i think the kick has just a little more high-end on the right channel. maybe the creator of the sample wanted to be sophisticated, or so ;) means i did not find a proper replacement for it :)

  the offbeat synth is really good !! but the kick on one side is a bit disturbing with headphnes... with a quarter left on the pan it will sound much cleaner imo ;-)

  by the way, the kick has the same volume on both channels left and right. i think the creator made it that way on purpose and on speakers it sounds quite good! :)

  good stuff, a lot of early rock recordings used only 4 channels and often they would put some instruments in the left channel and some in the right to keep it clean sounding. Sometimes I do that on purpose to keep it from getting too muddy :D
