when people most of the times use hats or even drum loop samples. cant people make their own, its not THAT hard. even i tried some time ago.

plus it's not just loops that create the hats, i have my own layered alongside. Granted they're not particularly complex, but thats the point. Simple and chilled.

calm my dude ;), like aura said it creates percussive flow. If you give liquid dnb a try you'll realise a lot of the flow and pacing of the track is created through the drums, which sound 1000000000000% better when layered with percussive loops as well as creating an original beat on the machiniste.
