  i feel like you could use a better type of distortion to convey the sound you want. i'd switch out the tubes and use gravities. you can get really nice saturation if you turn the attack and release all the way down and have the sensing mode on peak. experiment with the knee, threshold, and ratio

  i'd also use sidechaining to your advantage to let the drums cut thru your 808. prevents mud and helps with the punchy sound you're going for
