Honestly, to be fair, though, you don't have to put a lot of effort into making a decent trashwave. I haven't been digging into the genre too much, but I think it's pretty effortless if you know what you're doing (on audiotool).
You should check out
@lor
(I'm sure they're
@KVMZOK
too), they've been making some good trashwave too, in my opinion.
nice edit on those chords. You really brought out the best in that part of the sound.
the drums are pretty weak, and not supporting the rest of the song adequately imo
that melodic bit that plays above everything else is also a bit quiet. Try putting a HPF on that sound at like 3-6k, cutting out most of the mids and low end, then throw a tube on it or something else to make it a bit more sparkly. think that would help it sound much better.
If you want the mids to have more of that melodic feel, then try copying the MIDI from the highs to another instrument, and experiment with a different tone that you can layer over the higher freq stuff.
Nice work overall! I love the emotion this song kind of contains, and how much you've adapted it from the original! This is the kind of song that doesn't need words because the music tells you everything you need to know. great composition!
