Good melody ideas, I would recommend going to the Board and looking for mastering tips there, and opening up well-mixed tracks by other people here to see how they mix their synths and drums. That really helped me a lot, as did learning what EQ'ing was and how to do it. It can be pretty difficult to grow by solo'ing on AT, so I definitely would recommend learning (or even copying) other people's techniques until you feel proficient enough to invent your own.
