After hydrogen fusion in its core has diminished to the point at which it is no longer in hydrostatic equilibrium, the core of the Sun will experience a marked increase in density and temperature while its outer layers expand to eventually become a red giant.

It is calculated that the Sun will become sufficiently large to engulf the current orbits of Mercury and Venus, and render Earth uninhabitable, eventually engulfing it too.

  • this sound like something you would hear out of a sci-fi movie great track

  • ohoho what masterpiece did i just stumble upon

  • wow missed this one

  • Evolutionarily beautiful

Luckily, it's a long time before this happens ;-)

    • Yes, definitely! I wonder what our species will be up to by then, if we're around at all.

  • I've never heard a track with such subtle noise that felt so essential to the piece.

    • Thanks Noir! Yes, atmospheric noise is something I'm trying to use more lately.

    • Very very nice track! Builds really well! I was surprised by the really late climax!

  • The breath of the Sun... fantastic composition!

  • wow what a journey. really wonderful ideas in here

  • The synth work is simply awesome in the real sense of the word, eno and vangelis influences but on a par. I'm jealous of this piece.

  • nice!

  • hammer

  • Love this mood! Very well made piece!

  • Not often i listen to songs in the full, i usually skip to the good bits, but this has sucked me in from the get go

  • really like the lead melody/arp in this, kinda sounds futuristic but retro at the same time?

Great progression in the track as well man, definitely need to check out more of your stuff

  • I don't want to believe that story. :(

    • Will happen in like 5 bilion years or so ...

    • Don't worry. None of us will be around when that happens.

  • Surreal. This is great! I can just imagine circling the sun in some sort of space craft. A solar flare juts out of the surface of the sun. Another one appears and you know it's time that the space craft is about to enter the sun's gravitational field. The track sounds like it gives wonder and doom at the same time.

    • Wonder and doom; that was exactly the idea. Thank you for your comment!
