One I kept going back to before the NES days was ADVENTURE. My favorite 2600 game before Nintendos. :)
In the early days before Mr. Doo and Donkey Kong and Jungle Hunt and after Asteroids and Space invaders their were games such as Berzerk, Moon Raider, Scramble and Defender as well as Centipeed and Tempest. But in my opinion Major Havok stood above everything except Spy Hunter but that's another tale for another time.
