When you’re making anything even if it’s something experimental you have to at least slightly understand how to pull it off before you attempt it. So structures, arrangements, how someone MIGHT have made a sound, etc. A lot of song ideas that come to you are just hodgepodges of things you like. One day, don’t even open the app. Just jam out to shit and listen carefully. Someone can always give you mixing and mastering tips when the track is out but it’s up to you to have everything else there.
