  • You should replicate a melody, instead of using a sampled melody. To get started, you don't really need a full chord progression that just repeats every bar and it's nothing complicated. So like, take two thirds of a chords root notes, and fill in two notes of the chord progression. Just keep it super simple, and super repetitive.

    As for you drums, find a short snappy 808 (Pyrex, or Plug) or create your own. But make sure it's tuned well to the melody and such.

    • Another tip is that super thin sounds in the melody will layer up nicely. So it's all according to your preference, and the "type beat" remake of a song.
