mxcii, 27-band vocoder in next

00:0000:44

palms are sweaty

knees weak

ar-arms are heavy

there's vomit on mom's spaghetti already

he's nervous

but he looks calm and ready

to drop bombs

but he keeps getting sweaty

on his mom's spaghetti

mom's choking

he-he's choking

everybody's choking now

-----------------------------------------------------

so i saw this feature request thread

about adding a vocoder to next

and i thought

why wait for audiotool

to make a vocoder

when i can just make my own?

*sigh*... it splits the incoming "Carrier"/synth and "modulator"/voice into different frequency bands. then it takes the synths bands, compares it the volumes of the volume of the voices bands, and makes the voices bands modulate the volume of the synths bands causing formats to be created which we hear as speech. That or you could just go here: (link is only visible to registered users)

Oh so you split it three ways. Still, I feel that's a little too HiFi :)

There should honestly be a way to sidechain a tinygain for example so you wouldn't have to use gates.

altho i guess you could manually sidechain a tiny gain like with an audio track

also being able to add more channels to the bandsplitter (like on the centroid) would be nice
