    In all honesty, I would place the bass notes in a higher octave. I like the percussion and I think it flows nicely. Also, I think that the snare roll at the end of the bar is repetive. Hm.. maybe a horn would be effecient? Just pitch the horns so it fits the sample and do the same for the 808s.

      What I like to use for my 808s are the tm88 preset, and I add distortion and a compresser to it. But you could always make one on your own.
