Connection cables...connection cables everywhere...

I was having quite some difficulty making this one, had writer's block (or would it be musicians block?) and took more time than needed.

Unlike my other acid techno tracks, im not using BOTH the 808 and 909, it started out just like that...but after a while of thinking i decided to forgo the 909 and only use the 808.

Why? you may ask, well, before i would use the 909 for the kick, snare and ride while the 808 worked the hihats and cymbal...but im only using about...what?... 25, 30% of the drum machines real potential?

Also, i prefer the sound of the 808 for techno...it sounds mechanical, tinny, raspy, lifeless and all around harsh...like techno! ;D

Each machine has 10 sounds on board, the 808 has 6 additional (toms can convert to congas, rimshot becomes claves, handclaps become maracas, the cowbell), and the 909 has the crash. Then why is it im not using them to the fullest? Considering all the effects we have, we can create some really cool sounds with a little tweaking...

That being said, i tried and opted for that acid techno feel using the 303, while i used almost every sound (except congas, maracas and claves) on the 808...this is in part an experiment since ive never done this.

**EDIT: came back to this song and worked with the 303 plus rimshots...they sounded weird so i did little upgrade...also, used the stereo enhancer, so i could use some feedback as to how it helps (or worsens) the song :)
