Moby Dick by Jakey (featuring my voice as both the man and the woman in the intro)

this song means a lot to me, personally. i have a history of looking for love in the wrong places, seeking external validation from the women i dated, rather than recognizing my self-worth in my own womanhood. dating women was always an awful game of projection for me; holding onto their femininity as if it were my own, for fear of being seen as unlovable in the pursuit of self-actualization.

i tried to be a man; i failed.

i've been living as a woman for over four years now, and i'm the happiest i've ever been. this track simply serves as a reminder of the dark period in my life prior to accepting myself.

thank you, Jacob Matthew Christensen, for putting your art out there for us all. much love <3
