in terms of chops, this is one my better songs, seeing how i had to chop the original trumpet and do some drums edits and vocal chops, which were a pain in the ass to do

I would layer the drums with other sounds, such as basslines, synths, and vocal samples, to create a good vibe to your beat. The live recorded instrumentation is very good over the drum beat though. But I think you should also experiment with different effects and processing techniques to create unique soundscapes and textures. Using a compressor can help control the dynamic range of the drums and give them a tighter sound. Also EQing to give it a tonal balance.

You did well with the reverb because that adds a sense of space and atmosphere to the drums, making them crunchy and raw. Maybe some delay can create space and depth by adding repeating echoes to the drums. Also saturation to add warmth and harmonic richness to the drums. And finally panning which can create a stereo image and add dimension to the drums. So just try different combinations of these effects and processing to find the sound you are looking for.
