  • Ontop of this, you should try using compressors, this allows you to prevent the volume from peaking to drastically, and just smoothens things out a bit in my opinion. I would recommend going into the Audiotool Next beta for the best compressors, the gravity is an awesome compressor which gives you a visual aid of how much is being compressed, and the Quantum allows you to compress the different frequency ranges.

try to aim the red bar's peaking around 3-6 dbs, that i find does the best.

  • on the mixing side of things, you can use the slope tool to apply a highpass to your instruments. Highpass is a method which involves drastically reducing the volume of certain frequencies which the specific instrument doesn't need. I personally reccomend an overall highpass on the master track of about 40-60 Hz to remove that sub-bass section which muddies things up a bit. you don't want too much mud, but you don't wanna remove the bass either. the bass is the meat on the bone after all

  • My first suggestion is learn a bit about key signatures, it looks complicated, but it actually isn't. I would also recommend making use of the Berg or Pulv synths, they are essentially giant piano's, and you needn't worry about the knobs and changing the sound yourself, just right click and apply a preset that sounds good to you.

  • I think there are loop samples here that are from different key signatures and as a result are competing for dominance in the track, not to mention due to a lack of highpass there is a lot of mud in the mix which is starting to distort things a bit.
