Olaf, thanks for posting this on my wall...I've actually given it a bunch of listens...just haven't taken the time to sign in and fav the thing. Very impressive, love the whale song background and the really mellow pad you were able to coax out.

yep, starz is right, this is beautifull under an ocean documentary, you could think about a career in making film/docu music, there you make great soundtracks, contacts will help as well, i was lucky to know one of the initiators of dance valley, cause there are much better musicians out there with no contacts who didn't perform on dancevalley.
Anyway you are good in your style, explore and learn. there is alot of pressure if you have to make music for a living, working with deadlines doesn't work for me, it disturbs my creativity and freedom, be you in your music. i love it olaf!!

Thanks Starz, you seem like you have some experience (at least more than I do) so I'd like to continue this conversation (; And Syntax, I always like it when people remix my tracks, so please publish.

Your style is soundtrack most probably. Backgrounds and stuff like that. That's not a bad thing but that's the industry.

I made a remix of this a while ago, it's just sitting in my drafts. Not sure if I'm going to even publish it.

Ok Olaf my friend, you asked for my opinion directly so I'm assuming that it's because you know I'll tell you the truth, straight out, so here it is. First off this is beautiful. Probably your best work. I've listened to your other stuff and read you writings. That said, you need to consider where you're wanting to go with this. A career in music is one of the most difficult things you can pursue. You need an objective. What do you want exactly? To be a club hit? To be supported by a strong fan base that keeps your record company happy? Have you considered soundtracks? Concert performances? Sound engineer for a studio? These things matter as they will determine whether you can support yourself as an adult pursuing this dream or not. I have decided to take this approach with you as you asked for my opinion about your music and based on what I know of you and from my experience. If you'd like to continue this conversation I'm more than willing to do so,. If you just want my opinions about the song then I will just do that as well.
