I would like you folks to take this and work your magic on it. I know there is a good track lurking somewhere in here.

  • Dark!

  • Cool

  • COOL

  • Learn from it and move on :-)

If you use a p.eq on the synth and lower the gain on high frequency, you'll find you can keep the polyphony and not screech too high. Just find the right amount of gain reduction, freq and band

  • Oh and Thedoctor.. something you said about just putting the stuff out there was the reason I went ahead and published this. I'll just make it a template also so anyone can fool around with it.

  • thank you thank you thank you!!!! Yes! I have lots of problems getting the different elements to not be too loud, but still distinct. Maybe I should break it up a bit as I feel sometimes I have too much going on at one time. Thanks you guys for the critique. I won't say I'll do it over, but I will take it into consideration.

  • you definitely asked the right person for a critique. Arche has some great knowledge of this stuff and is intelligent as a mov. I think this has a lot of potential. Great track.

  • It's nice but,i think that this track doesn't have a good rhythm. I also think that the sounds are very rough and rude... But this is only a opinion by an amateur :)

  • The synths hit my ears hard. There needs to be a little volume control on that first synth to keep it from screaching too hard. When it comes around, it's also not taking me in different rhythmic directions. I think this track would work great by changing the rhythm of the synths a bit to be like an extension of the core beat. Overall, there are some great sounds in there. I think you have good raw material. Hope that helps - if not, sorry ;)
