Good for Late Afternoon or evening environments

14 Herculis b (or 14 Her b) is a gas giant exoplanet located approximately 58-59 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Hercules.

Type of Planet: Gas Giant. It is roughly the same size as Jupiter but much more massive.

Mass: Approximately 8.053 times the mass of Jupiter. Another source states its mass is 9.66 times the mass of Jupiter.

Orbital Period: It takes about 4.8 years (or 1767.56 days) to complete one orbit around its star.

Orbital Distance: It orbits its star at a distance of approximately 2.774 AU.

Discovery: It was discovered in July 1998 by the Geneva Extrasolar Planet Search team using the radial velocity method, and its discovery was announced in 2002. At the time of its discovery, it held the record for the exoplanet with the longest orbital period.

Host Star: It orbits the star 14 Herculis, a G-type star.

System Dynamics: There is evidence suggesting the presence of a second planet, 14 Herculis c, in the system. Studies indicate that the orbits of these planets may not be coplanar and are strongly interacting, possibly due to a past planet-planet scattering event.
