(b. 7 Jun 1980, Brighton) is a London-based multi-instrumentalist famed for “acoustic glitch-folk”: nylon-string guitar lines woven through lo-fi electronics. Breaking out with Neon Cartography (2007) and the indie hit “Maps for the Blind,” he’s since scored films, looped household sounds into the AIM-winning album Quiet Electric (2020), and now tours 360° immersive shows with his collective The Cartographers. When offstage, the 45-year-old Hackney resident champions music-tech access in UK state schools through his charity “Loops for Learning.”
