I have an iTunes podcast called 'The Chillout Lounge Mix' which features many wonderful artists and labels from around the globe.
Really enjoy mixing and making music mainly because of the feeling it gives me and hopefully gives others too.
I have been into and mixed many styles of music throughout my life (on 1210s, CDs, Ableton, Traktor) including all kinds of House, Trance, D & B, Old Skool, Breakbeat, after uploading Chillout mixes online and getting very positive responses I decided to push it further. I've always been really into the breakdown part of a tune as well as when it drops back in again.
I try to use this wide experience on my chillout mixes blending round the various keys, BPMs and varieties of sounds with FX when needed, also remix some tracks with a view to keep the flow going as much as possible.
The podcast has had 100s of thousands of downloads (380,000 while writing this) and is on the rise too.
I want to expand on my chillout remixes and mixes and produce a sound that works on a different level, a more lively, fluid, dance ready sound, with atmosphere.
I'm new to producing and remixing although have used Ableton for mixing chillout for a while (took it seriously this year 2011) and am getting remixes released straight away which is wonderful \o/
I am ready to push my producing as far as I can now, I know I have a lot to learn still but I am loving learning BIG Time and soaking up something new every day..
Music is a way of life to me and is deeeeeeply engrained within my soul.
I'm very much looking forward to the future and whatever it brings.
