Akimbo
Jack Hughes
Another talented youngster in the Audiotool Artist Crew: Akimbo delivers polished Club Music with a focus on driving Drum &Bass. And that with a stylistic confidence which makes it hard to believe he is at the beginning of the road. Though he describes himself as an amateur on his AT account, many of his tracks wouldn't be out of place on an official publication. Be sure to check his music out, his future seems promising.

- Musical Style
- Drum and Bass/UK Bass
- Musical Background
- I don't really have a musical background to be honest. I played a bit of guitar and piano, and listened to a lot of Classic Rock as I was using my dad's iTunes account most of the time: Led Zepp, Van Halen, The Happy Mondays, those kind.
- Started making music
- Before Audiotool. I had some guitar and piano lessons, but I never really mastered either instrument, although my dad did teach me enough guitar to jam with him, although it was only the 12 bar and some basic chords. Most musical theory that I've learned has actually come from opening up other users tracks and seeing how they've done certain things, and then trying to copy them.
- On Audiotool
- I discovered Audiotool when I was about 12, and used to play around with it regularly. But I never really published anything until I was 13, about 4 years ago now. Some of the stuff actually received a positive reception, and from then I was hooked! I've loved seeing artists on this site flourish into some of the most followed users, and the site itself evolve while I watched.
- Message to the community
- The one thing that I'd like to see more of on Audiotool is more constructive criticism of tracks. At the moment it seems like some tracks only get praise where as a little constructive criticism could make them a lot better. I wouldn't mind someone telling me how to improve my music, and I'm fairly sure that other people wouldn't mind either. So if you can see something that might need improving, just say.
