Interview

- Musical Style
- I don't know how I would describe my style. I just make what I like. Sometimes it's Future Bass, sometimes it's Trap, sometimes it's Witch House.
- Musical Background
- I don't have much of a musical background. I can play piano and trombone.
- Started making Music
- I joined my school band in 4th grade - playing trombone. I started making music on Audiotool in November 2014. It was on an account called BCP (it stands for Ben Christopher Productions). I would make only sample tracks for a while though, since I didn't understand how the synths worked and I didn't care that much. During the summer of 2015, I started to want my music to be better. I would join rabb.it groups with other people in AT and then I started making my own original tracks. That account is deleted now.
- On Audiotool
- I discovered Audiotool in November 2014 when a friend was promoting his Audiotool account on Instagram.
- Reason to start Audiotool Hits
- I was curious what the charts were like 1 year ago, so I thought it would be a good idea to make albums with the charts and in the future, I could look back and see what songs were popular at the time. I made an account for it on September 19, 2015 (Editors Note: Happy first anniversary) and I also made 3 other albums along with the charts. They were Underrated, Chill, and Dance. Since then Chill and Dance have been ditched and replaced with New School and Throwback and Genre Edition has been added and replaced by Monthly Editions. I am very proud of what this account has grown to be.
- How do you find the songs
- To find the songs I put in the albums, I have people suggest artists, but mostly pressing 'music' in the top left-hand corner and looking at tracks from the last week.
- What has changed over the years
- There are a lot of things that have changed when I look back at the albums. One thing is popular artists, I see a lot of accounts that have been deleted, but mostly, I see what genres had been popular at the time. It's been Future Bass, then Melodic Dubstep, and right now, I would say it is Trap.
- Message to the community
- Make what you like. Have fun making tracks that get 5 likes instead of making tracks you don't like that get 50 likes.
