Interview

Name: Jordi Moragues Massanet Place: Barcelona, Spain. Currently I live in Cologne, Germany Age: 44 Profession: Currently dance teacher. Before that I was a computer animator. Studied and worked at the University of the Balearic Islands and the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne.

Musical Style
Classic, or Retro, highly influenced by the popularization era of electronic music in the late 70s and early 80s and artists like Vangelis, Jarre or Kraftwerk.
Musical Background
I don't have formal training, have always been self-taught, but recently I have started to study and educate myself in music theory on my own. I also don't have any professional experience, apart from making the soundtrack of most of my old computer animation shorts. Making music has always been a hobby for me.
Started making music
In the early 90s at home, with a Roland W-30, to which later I added a few more instruments from Roland and Korg.
On Audiotool
Just by chance when it was still part of Hobnox, some time around 2008, looking for music-making online programs. I was curious but did not stick to it. I rediscovered it at the end of 2012 as Audiotool.com and have been hooked to it ever since.
Message to the community
Thanks a lot to Andre and his team for this fantastic platform. I am constantly learning with it and don't think I will ever feel limited. I am looking forward to their new ideas for the upcoming version. I am also amazed at the talent and the high quality of the music I have found in this community. I encourage audiotoolers to keep creating and experimenting. Research and listen to lots of music, learn the basics of music theory, copy and understand the techniques from the pros, open and analyse tracks you like to understand what makes them tick, experiment a lot, know each device inside out, get creative, try unusual arrangements and don't feel pressed to publish too often.
