I always wondered if audiotool had any legends in general, I got a few picks i would like to point out eventually, but for me, i sometimes get my day brighten when I see some fellow artists who have inspired me completely and I pursue to talk to them
Comments (150)
Trillionaire, Luxor, Infyuthusion, Nishiki, Looks, dove to name a few
This is diabolical, especially since you've been 11 years in AT.
Luxior and Looks are literally the same people.
Xavi, Luxior, Navor, Opaqity from the old gen
Rai, Laevent come to mind for the newer era
can some1 link trillionaire?
Idk who trillionare is, Obviously Infyuthusion is up there but I personally wasnt there in that era, Look and Dove are def one of my top legends
Old gen really haf a massive sound and uniqueness to them, thats when audiotool really started popping off the most
forgot skye and ford too especially for their work outside of AT
Laevent had made some of the best sounding mixed tracks but unfortunately is cut short to the lack of hidding many tracks before, and rai is just the typically quite guy that drops banger upon bangers every year
formulation is one of the best albums ever made on AT
Skye and ford are making a name for themselves outside of AT, we old fans can def say we are proud of them
Link it! So people can see
https://www.audiotool.com/album/6ri5mw/
I always considered that album as the Iglooghost album of audiotool. Madness and surprises await in every listen
po9t is for sure a frontrunner for the current era
Po9t and Naswalt have been the best and upcoming artist on this site, some.of the most loyal and truest people i know!
same for you seb, you have a lot of great vocal works
I cant tell who else is awaiting a new rise to be considered a legend on this site, is hard to tell with the lack of motivation and excessive sample use from other daws
Thank you! I know vocals are always a great thing to have here on audiotool, i just want to be recognized for my other works too rather than the hyperpop phase that happened
can't let you go is in my personal playlist for extremely well produced/professional sounding AT tracks
Ayy no way! Ive been trying so hard to really put some high quality music, especially recently
What qualities or requirements would you say are necessary to be considered legendary on AT?
I'd say a consistent output of quality that ages very well, a recognizable sound, and inspiring both their peers and newer generations
Also having a good character presence in this website! Most of the time i personally consider people like po9t, naswalt, sbz, rai, owtlet, and a couple others to be my top legends due to the fact they have been very nice and kind hearted to their followers. 50% makes up for the music. Ut the other 50% is due to their great and approacheable personalities that are willing to help others out!
Sandburgen makes really good music and is very kind. Top notch AT guy
"Dont meet your heroes" is a true statement! Can easily make any person go from "Legend" to "Basic" with the way they are towards others, gotta remember that we are legends due to our fans, and we owe them the best of our hearts for that
Oh yeah he is def an OG! The fact hes been making music since it was AT was born and ive noticed the surprising energy ti stay with the trends and try new things in his music, is def worth more than the shoutout
It was so nice to meet Naswalt, Rai, Jetdarc, Sim, Snowfire, Astrum, Vltra, Etterath and Po9t. Everyone was super cool

Nice to see the first era recognized
RIP whitegrizzly
Actually hoping for another event like that happened in atlanta, i was so stocked to be invited by you guys but was unable to join, WE GOTTA MEET
Yes hopefully there is another soon and it would be great to see you and everyone else there too :-)
Is sad to know that almsot every new artist will never know about these people, i think we should make a couple tributes and rebirth these lost energies
Proud to be part of this community, this basically has been my therapist, my best friend, my joy maker and my second home
Thank you for allowing us to share the joy of your musical journey!
I wonder what the rest think, is interesting seeing what other people call idols on this website
RIP South Bronx Den 🫡

The few I can think of off the top of my head
@bootyclub https://www.audiotool.com/track/hollywood_sadcore/
@officialawenix i always forget that
https://www.audiotool.com/user/808chunk/ was the first-ever artist to publish an Audiotool album. Maybe it was the first album ever fully produced on the internet? I’m not sure. Definitely legendary.
https://www.audiotool.com/user/sumad/ - Sumersum: The first A-Records vinyl release and definitely the most awkward record release party I’ve ever attended.
https://www.audiotool.com/user/sbronz/ Crazyly versatile and awesome musician
https://www.audiotool.com/user/colorin/ - The most monumental one-hit wonder in Audiotool history
@acloudyskye
Firgolito!! Ofc thats a good one!
These are a very good list, sad some accounts you mentioned got banned
This stuff should be noted down by the audiotool community this is just straight up history!
@colorin def sounds a lot like early @opaqity
One of the very few to surpass audiotools walls and leap to main stream! Man has made us all proud
acloudyskye is a genuine inspiration
met so many people on soundcloud and different bandcamp communities who all know about them
Well, I mean the impact of etterath, Carrion Haven, kiari, Client, Roy, 1trillionMPH and leadenshrew is undeniable, so I'd say them for "new gen"
Older gen - rratewerani, sila, voyd (emre), floydpjasper, CGMAN, mistwin (opaqity), retro (maybe more new gen, but still), frigolito
Def a list worth checking for newcomers
I'm repeating some of the peeps that have already been mentioned. Not sure who else...
I'd even add Zone to the list.
Just want to point out, even though most of the artists were already mentioned, AT has a very high quality Techno legacy and scene.
Always! This is ehat the daw was actually nade for in the first place, after years though, many people realized that a lot of the devices can create amazing other sounds and many genres were added
And I oop
@lucimusic080 this guy, he's got one of the most solid house music foundations on AT
I also just wanna let it be known that I've always been super slept on, but I've been here since about 2015 and I've seen a lot of talent flow thru this site
surprised by no mention of @iwanbeflylo23
i cannot deny his sounds had some influence in some people still around today
i'd also like to mention renz to some degree also if anyone remembers him
despite more negative turn in attitude (personal issues ommitted) he has sparked an interest in drum and bass (jungle strongly) in a more underground side of the community
credit due to him honestly or i personally wouldn't be as active here
I actually still talk to him every now and then

It's funny seeing accounts and their alts getting mentions. Do they become double legends?
If an alt gets mentioned, but the main doesn't..
I'll admit that one could probably say I have more influence in this newer generation along my peers but to be considered part of that newer gen itself feels weird especially when I’ve been here longer than some of the people you’ve listed as old gen
I'll drop a few names I haven't seen yet...
@vltra2
@nominal
@mark-lewis_ndikintum
True. That's just my point of view, because I only really started actively listening to your music now/understanding what you bring to the table now.
I'm going to offer up a second mention for @noah_cheng, nobody else really doing it like him
The kmoe and deadmau5 feature is interesting. I'd say those peeps only hopped on temporarily. Lot's of great names in there that have not been mentioned tho.
half a legend
then the alt is simply the better one and must kill the main in a dramatic battle
Absolutely yes! Can't believe I forgot to mention him.
Another few

oh fuck i forgot him @bishu
okay
I thought about this one more than I should
@luceluce
defo
shes beyond underrated lol
incredibly, somehow no mention of @gno4166 whose timeless style is enjoyed by literally everyone
@ceroxin and @musicmaker23754 for inspiring my House stuff and my favorite artists to talk to and listen to!
@kawalli @devin_mills @3eyes ? These are some good secret sauces
Its the capability to submerge yourself into the new generation and thats a good thing @inxile412
One of the guys that has been loyal to many on here, def deserves the shoutout
Massive!
😭😭
Yeap absolutely!
Big win here with these guys
Dude makes some amazing things on here!
Sucks many of these are practically forgotte. :(
Nice man! Glad to see this!

sea foam in birdcore is perfect
AT's version of kanye
Hiphop, lofi, Indie, Acoustic- that checks out
@neffmau5 mentioned!!!!!!
Matador, Hvd, Vanillachill, Burg, Dzool
Jvcxb, Lxrd Breezy, 16 Sensei, Solect, Black Magneto
oh yeah how did we forget jvcxb
wvstend nomad kc are absolutely big 3
@iuzi is also legendary
People just don't know these genres as well
noone rly that invested in trap communtiy but its fine
@donuts9041_gmail_com is tuff too at many genres
Lol ok bud.
Hate based on beef between two kids on the internet. Don't know where those accusations came from. Sounds like a bunch of bs.
the accusations came from his gf i think? but they were both underage and 1 year age gap so its not really a huge deal. there's actual sex offenders and pedos out there and this just aint one of them dawg im sorry
i wouldn't go as far to say vizil is kanye but he's definitely insufferable plus weird (he's even blocked me on discord and audiotool lol) but y'all demonise him way too much
I've known him personally for years. No doubt he's different. Insufferable? Sure, it's his moto. But most users that hate on him are honestly lame af.
its amazing what misinformation does when people yap without ever actually getting everything even after all this time has passed people still cause issues that weren't even relevant to him anymore
Dude literally is just living his best life rn 💀
Actual witch hunt 🥀
cope
Love how the topic of vizil always brings the same people regardless of the circumstances. The entire way the volt exiling of anyone who might've been related to being friends with him was odd. Could've been handled privately instead of the way it was. Many have already moved on and would rather apologize for causing issues that should've never happened yet the one's who never had any kind involvement keep digging it up lmao
A legend doesn't have to be the greatest person they can remain infamous much like how vizil has
You'd think people would just stop there instead of repeating the same things even though he's already been slammed into the ground on his alt
I guess I forgot the only adults who are left on this site handle muting walls so thing's like this don't extend beyond the wall 😔😔😔
elow
he’s made a lot of good stuff he’s a legend in my book
I was gonna say BrokeBoiTaylor because I was in a tdf drumkit and I saw mad sounds by him
@zenithisdead wat are you yapping ab?
We'll just leave it at that.
Reggae legend status is Smashi Skunkins, floydpjasper & Leinholz in my eyes.
I still don't know enough about it to take any stand. Maybe, just maybe, more of us could adopt that opinion. Anyhow, yes he was one of the most creative forces on AT.
Has been mentioned here before but strangely only once: aeris in new gen
the fact nobody said cuddlex yet is surprising
@kingcrazzzzy
everybody is obligated to put andré michelle on #1 on their goated list
this daw would not exist if it weren't for the bossman himself creating it
FACTS
Another one I'd like to mention. https://www.audiotool.com/album/DgJ432VK7 AKA Alain Groetzinger played drums in the famous 70s rock band Rockets before he deiscovered Audiotool
@hkgabi
vaynight for sure
okin is a great producer
Hell yeah, Obsidianschwarz is still one of the best tracks ever made on AT
