Modern style of sample manipulation in the subgenre of Hip/Hop known as Boom Bap and chopping has a bit of 9nth wonder influence but mostly The Al Chemist vibes, very L.A. kind of mood and vibes, artist and lyrics and cultural ideologies from Central L.A. type area, colorful boom-bap beat. But it's probably either terrible or pretty good, not amazing just pretty good, at least for me.
