isn't it crazy how the message "condemned to be free" can apply to so many concepts in our world
we are ultimately alone as sartre said, "condemned to be free" in a world increasingly noisy, hostile and difficult to live in

i guess it just came to my mind since the track is titled "this island" and it was something that Matthew Healy was discussing in an interview i happened to come across.

like how some people have to go to fucking barbados or some island, surrounded by the sea so you can't swim back even if you were set on it, to detox from hard opiates
not too surprising though, it's a stressful world i'll tell you that much.
