Never had a piano, so I decided to build one.

Maybe the beginning of a series of synthesized acoustic instrument patches (?), we'll see.

Two humanized MIDI files to introduce the patch's sound design, and to make it easily comparable with real piano performances:

-

1. Eric Satie - Trois Gnossiennes (60 bpm)

0:00 with Reverb FX

5:28 without FX

-

2. Richard Rodgers - My Funny Valentine (70 bpm)

11:28 with Chorus FX

Tips:

1. Play notes only in the NoteSplitter named 'Keyboard', as the 3 Heisenberg (corresponding to hammered strings, harmonics and hammers) should be triggered at the same time.

2. At the end of the chain, 2 effects and an equaliser are ready for use: 'Chorus FX', 'Reverb FX' and 'Curve EQ'. Depending on the sounds you are looking for, you may have to activate them and to adjust their settings, or to bypass them. These 3 devices are not core elements of the patch but they can add a nice finishing touch.

3. Humanize the notes (right click on the note region) to make it more realistic.

4. If you have any question, I'll do my best to help!

Feedback is more than welcome. One of my main obstacles right now is that, having no piano, I cannot hear exactly how it sounds. While composing with this patch, if you ever encounter some weird noises that do not sound like a piano, please share it with me so that I can fix and update the patch.

Have fun :)
