Not much to say. I just want to understand. I'll get to the sound I want to hear either way, but then where's the need to put music in the wrong tag? If you really want to be the sole king of "hardcore" of AT really bad, so be it. This will soon be a non-issue anyway if they remove the genre categories.

Hardcore also doesn't mean mood or type or something. Hardcore is a genre. While this is at least housish, very few tracks in #hardcore are even remotely related to the actual goddamn genre. It's all just trap.
The problem I have is that I then can't really look up any tracks that are actually hardcore if every single track in the genre tag isn't the actual genre. Same with industrial, reggae and all that. The only surprising thing is that there are a few tags trap producers DON'T abuse.

Do you think they do it themselves? That's an algorithm that makes charts according to listen/like ratio.
That's why anything can chart in unpopulated genre charts in the first place. If you tag some random trap beat you made in 3 minutes with #reggae, which like 3 people on this whole site actually make like once in 6 months, no wonder you chart with 2 favourites.
