Hey, everyone, this is my first shot at something on this site I hope you all enjoy it. Also, help me figure out what genre this is my first time making something that sounds like this.
The drums could definitely use some work but I love the synths, maybe try making ur own next time you never know when you could discover something really cool
for this being your first ever track, this is actually very solid. im not gonna hold mixing and all those little things against you cause you’re new and it’s expected for that stuff to be kinda rough, but man while the melodies and pads are very simple, they’re quite clean. later in the track some lows/mids start clashing, but I’d say about the first 30 secs of the track, everything meshes pretty nicely
overall thoughts though, I think you did great here! you seem to know melodies well and what’s in key/what’s not. you do a great job of filling space (in most parts) while also making everything sound natural and not aimlessly thrown in. can’t wait to see what else you have store for us down the road cause you definitely have some talent, just need some time to adjust and learn :)
main negatives are probably just drum stuff and variety. drums are very week and uninteresting, if I were you id maybe crank the volume up a tad and maybe add a little more substance, like a few more hats or percs. the melodies are also very simple, which is good right now cause you’re learning so keeping it simple is definitely what you want. but down the road once you get more comfortable with the site, try switching the melodies up. repetitiveness isn’t always bad but in this case it is
I suck at criticism, but i feel as tho ur pad sound does need work, However I also agree with what YITO says as far as u being experienced melodically speaking, but the main lead does get very repetitive. (I think the pad may be occupying to much lowend, i don't know, I suck)
And sound design wise I'd recommend making the main melody synth more interesting, but you'll learn most of that during continuous practice. The claps could be put through a reverb. I can't really help you with the mixing. There are several muddy sections, however I don't have my headphones rn. Criticism aside, this has a lot of potential and you do too. Keep it up! I'm sure that you'll publish some great stuff in the future.
You are pretty good. Melodically speaking, you seem to have some experience already. The melody is nice, however I'd recommend working on track structure, because I don't really hear too much of a pattern. Without having to make drops and buildups, you could add some swells or introduce one of the pad elements slowly and then resolve it. Also the repeating melody itself doesn't sound too repetitive in this case, yet I'd recommend a section either without the melody or changing some notes up
DANG ANOTHER CHART!
And this is my very first track xD
Louder beat
Nicely done

I just wasn't trying to get to epic with the drums.
Lol I did make those drums no sample drums
