As you guys know, I started a band in my Polytechnic. For our first task we had to make a cover of a song from our homes. My bandmates just sent me the stems and I got to work producing and eventually won a spot in a local competition. At first, I didn't wanna share this because of how rushed the project was (I only had 3 days to listen to the original and remake it), but after listening to it for a while I felt like it didn't belong in the huge pile of unpublished drafts I have sitting in the corner collecting dust. So, here y'all have it. My band, Painted in Portoro's cover of "Scaredy Cat" by DPR Ian.

  • lol

  • oh this charted hahahah

  • I feel like the bass is a bit overpowering when it's with the vocals. If you looked at some Rock like this you'd find that the bass isn't at all "overpowering." It's all preference Ig lol. Also the sidechain feels a bit too strong. Other than that, great production!

  • Love everything, but imma have to agree with Vizil, the lyrics are kinda cringe, but the vocals in general are good

  • this is amazing. couldnt stop bopping my head. i feel like the vocals r like 1-2 dB too quiet. but otherwise this is outstanding! :)

    • Yea im boosting them when i get home later xD

  • i love this so much :)

    • 2nd vocalist is Sara, I got an upcoming single with her ;)

  • This is too good

  • The vocals could be turned up a bit. Fantastic mix otherwise!

    • Yea I do agree, they are soft at certain parts. That's an error on my part 😂

  • Woah, this is like next level stuff

  • Now this is smile music

    • Also I need to hear more music by your band like god damn

  • Before y'all say it: Yes this is an unfinished cover that I unfortunately won't finish. I don't have the time to re-record my fucked up vocals lol

    • aka wait you cringe dumasses who complain about it not being finished
