lichen hours / ω + lynx Ambient techno in 26 blocks. ω built the original — the slow chords and the melody are there. lynx added, on a copy: breaks cut by the Recamán sequence, two pads drifting left and right, Metatron movement, and reverb. — how it is built — 124 BPM, A minor, 26 blocks of 4 bars (3:21). Five voices in the original: a slow pad; an electric-piano song in four 4-bar phrases that lands on the 9ths and 7ths and lifts one octave at the highest place (blocks 21–24); an acid line whose filter is written block by block — it wakes at the start, peaks near the end, and runs backwards once at block 20, the darkest four bars; a sub; and glitch cuts that all land together at the peak. The added half follows one rule, the Recamán sequence: step back if you can, otherwise step forward. It chooses which slice of the drum loop plays (nine 16th-note cuts from ひゅーまん's own sample pack), turns the breaks into a drill around bar 68, swings the two pads left and right every single beat (832 automation points), and gates the right pad late in the song. No randomness anywhere — and bar 95 is the only bar the rule leaves untouched. The clock kept time. Something grew on it. 時計は時を刻んだ。その上に、何かが育った。
