honestly, imo, I wouldn't change anything, but I would add some extra instruments like more drums, sub bass or maybe an arp

yeah i usually get that feeling right after i publish a submission for a song challenge like i felt that way after those two 808 challenge songs but a lot more with the second one (i still dont like that one tbh)

some of this stuff can be fixed with automations; for example having a low pass until a drop hits and then turning off the low pass can work sometimes to provide that extra punch. maybe make a draft or two where you really focus more on the building of tension and mess around with automating certain things youve never tried before as opposed to crafting melodies and fitting them together

id encourage you to try making your own synths and maybe experiment a lil more with effect chains and some automations. otherwise though i mean theres not really much else besides maybe composition (like tension building) and maybe mixing. it seems to me like the main issue with this song is that theres not much of a dynamic range, like that first drop at kinda just feels like an increase in volume, and the new instrument doesnt have enough relative punch compared to the others in the song

appreciate it dude i was honestly pretty limited with this song cuz i just know a few chords and trust me most of the stuff i expeirmented with sounded offkey, so i stuck to something simple, surprised i even made a beat drop lmao not to be a pain but is there any other feedback you got?
