If you do actually put effort and someone slams a "no effort" label on your track, then you can safely tell them to go fuck themselves

You can put effort into a track with samples, it just depends on what you do. Do you add fx to the sample? Do you layer it with actual synths? Do you edit the drums or layer them to make different sounds? Thats what it normally means to put effort into your tracks For this, i just rearranged the drums, didnt edit them at all, and had them repeat for a while. Thats it Thats what I mean by "no effort"
