Well..this is quite the odd track, aint it?

I think the title is pretty self explanatory...but i would still like to elaborate a bit further.

Life is a weird thing, i knew about minimal music before, but never heard it with full attention before...till i heard a well done minimal techno mix and became hooked.

I like it because its just trying to return to simplicity, instead of overly complicating things to make a track, minimal techno just goes with the bare essentials to make some good music...

I apologize if its sounds dry and/or shitty, its really an attempt at making minimal techno, also, i never used the centroid cuz i was afarid of it...after using it however...im in love...the sheer amount of control it gives you to smooth out your tracks is amazing..

In another note, i used only slight compression (mostly for thr drums) and a little reverb for added depth...i didnt use any other effect and only EQ'd the song to leanr how to master/mix...

Lemme know whatcha think...is it good? is it crap? can i change something? more or less EQ? :D

  • Nice.

  • thanks torn, this IS more of an experimental attempt...im working on another one which has less elements, but is more melodic (i hope)...i will take what you said to heart though, its all about perfecting the sound :D

  • i'd like put in a soft pad and let it vary in tone and such and minimize what you already have even more taking care to really mess with what you keep so from what i understand about minimal, less is more ...but that's just my shitty 2 cents worth you created some great content nice work :)
