When I say that in the Birdcore genre "anything goes", I was being sarcastic, people put all sorts of stuff in there without really respecting the genre.

No worries at all, it takes time to figure out genres, especially since they can always be revisited and reimagined with creativity. If you check out the popular songs tab for each genre, you'll find tracks that are surprising because they stay within the genre but also push its boundaries. That can definitely make things a bit confusing. Plus, on AT, there are genres like Birdcore and reggae where pretty much anything goes, and that just adds to the confusion.
