This is yet another song that i started by sitting in front of my piano and just playing, playing chords, experimenting with the notes and sounds, learning by doing...im getting better i think.

I'm amazed how something so simple sounds so good...i guess what i thought was correct, i should focus on sound design and combining both music theory, raw gut instinct and my ears (above all) when making something...to hell with genres! I often feel confined by them.

Also, im feeling less need to add effects, nothing wrong with them, but i often like the sounds i make with just a tad (or a lot) of EQ and reverb, i just loves me some reverb.

This track just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I think its one of my better works!

The pad has very heavy influence from the track "Realization" by Machinedrum.

Enjoy! :^D

  • Ever since I joined AT, you were the first person I listened to.

This was the first song I heard (I also used this song in my schol project if you dont mind :p)

You may not know me because this is my new user (and my other user kinda sucked, so no one new me well)

    But yeah...

Just wanted to share my thoughts about you.

  • :OOOOOOOOOO

  • good to know this at least is still getting some play, many thanks!

  • Good job, Poly!

  • Cool bro..... calming....

  • This is cool!

  • Nice one.

  • Awesome! This sounds reakky amazing!

  • Less IS more.

  • Also left you some comments in your wall AprHum

  • Also, this mostly came from my piano in the living room, it has a rhythm function that plays a percussion loop to which it adds certain variations and fills. I built it mostly from what i head playing "live" so to speak

  • Fair enough point, could use more percussion bits...though i tried that with the manual slicing

  • Overall it's really cool. It's waaay too long and repetitive for it to hold my attention for 7 min though. I also think you could have used some drums that really extenuated the track betteer.

  • Reverb all the things!!! Yeah simple is good, people don't always get that, but complexity can be amazing just the same. I honestly dont know shit about genres, and I'm okay with that xD

  • One final bump...
