First official attempt at chiptune!

.

Not majorly inspired by anything, but I did listen to Downwell - Slumber Party and binge listen to a ton of Jetdarc's chiptune during it's development. Also got some sweet tips from him. Thanks again, Jet!

.

Took a bit of effort, but created the cover art myself (as I usually do)

  • Nice one !

  • this could go right in a nitendo cartitage

  • Amazing!

    • If you're out for more chiptune, I got a recommendation: @Jetdarc . Check them out!

    • This is the best chiptune I've seen so far here on audiotool.

      And amazing cover art!

  • Underrated

  • Good work! Sounds fitting for video game battle music. Makes me want to make chiptune again.

    Final Publish (most likely)

  • very nice! I think there needs to be some mixing to put emphasis on some sounds and drown out some others, but besides that this is still really nice! This is the type of composition I've always wanted to take my chiptune to, but I never put in the effort lol.

    • Nothing is drowned out right now. Everything is heard and very noticeable right now. But I suggest you balance out the frequencies to give more emphasis on some synths than others. It sounds jarring to me, but that’s just my preference. The only thing I’d say you have to fix would be the low end. The mix feels too light right now. But the emphasis thing is mostly personal preference.

    • Hey @Kibbey could you point out where the sounds are drowning? Having a bit of a hard time finding them.

    • Thank you!
