This one may honestly be the worst of them all
The Sega Megadrive (Genisis in North america) was Segas Follow up to the not so successfull Mastersystem.
The Genisis had 16 bit graphics as supposed to the NES's 8 bit graphics, which was part of the reason it became so popular.
