The first thign you want to do is make a clean saw synth. You can do this by using a heinsenberg with saw (down) on three operators (all max volume, you can fiddle with that though). If you want, you can put the third saw down an octave, it's not essential but can help. Remember, if you're making chords, make sure to put the sustain up all the way. It helps a lot. Then you need to put a stereo enhancer on it with max stereo. (important ---->) Then, you add an eq which you use to get rid of the low, bass sound (This is VERY important and should be used on all things except the bass). You should also put some stereo on the high end.

Next you will make your detuned saw. It is similar to the first synth, except you put the first saw up 0.1 semitones and the second one down -0.1 semitones. This creates a pretty cool affect. Laso, in addition to the first to affects, you shoudl add a chorus and SDeutne (configure them how you want)

Next, you should add a saw bass. This is very simple to make and it gives a nice, bassy end to your chords. You simply open your pulverisatuer, enable saw ont the first oscallator, turn the noise on and put to low level, and turn up sustain. Then, add a tube and an EQ. For the EQ, you want to amplify the bass this time and take out some of the high end. This should give a nice, bass element to your chords. You can also add a sub (optional) This adds even more to your bass.

The final thing you wanna do on your chords is add a high synth to your chords. This can be made out of anything, it just needs to add to the high end, that's all (remember to EQ!) Also if you want, you can add a reese bass. You probably don't need it, but it can help. I used it in my Dubstep Chords Test #2. If you don't know how to make your own, use luxior's preset on the pulv. You can do whatever you want for the growls, the ones on this are really bad. Also, remmeber to compres the chords. I hope this helped! Enjoy!

  • I noticed that snare is a bit on the low- frequency end, try looking up Omnivore Snare and VMP Snare in the sample library, those are my faves

  • Honestly, DJ.... A very good job but way more complex than it needed to be. For example, my song First Flight was a lot simpler than this and had a great sound. Maybe I should teach you some stuff. It sounds really great though and the saw synth layering was perfect, but as I said, way more complex than it had to be. Plus, these sawtooth's sounds are a little too bright for my taste.

  • Also, a very gritty bass helps
