title is in reference to the end of the summer and the mixed feelings of going back to school and also just general uncertainty about the future. going back to school always makes me feel both excited and nervous and i thought that worked well with the feel of the song. i didnt really do a good job on the cover art because the top of the stairs (future) is brighter than the bottom (the present) when i think the brightness shouldve been made ambiguous or hard to tell
