A big thank you to the Audiotool community. I haven't been active in five years, obviously, but I wanted to come back and write something to show my appreciation. When I was actively producing here, I was a deeply lonely kid and had very few friends. Coming back to this account as a young adult, I am struck by how many people seem to remember me. That's genuinely unique and beautiful, and it's surprising to me that what I thought of as an escape spoke to so many people. It meant a lot to me that I was able to produce art; that I had some ability to create a thing that was evocative or enjoyable for someone else. I felt like I was able to create something truly my own in a way most other things were defined by others' preconceptions.

Anyways, I don't think I could honestly say I would be who I am today without this app. Thanks so much to everyone who was so kind to me :)
