I just recently came home from a party.

There was dancing, music, free candy, costumes and beautiful young men and young women. There also was a pit of fire—from which there was peace admist the chaos of laughter, flashing lights and the cool wind chill in the large, bamboo-covered backyard. I sat down near it, me along with eight other people wanting a break from the dancing and the temptation of free candy. We were the outcasts of the incrowd. And soon, more and more people left the floor to gather around this fire—the outcasts had suddenly ceased to exist. We were one,

  • I hear what you mean... I am in the process of perfecting a type of ambiance composed of dry sounds right now.. I wasn't aiming for distance or atmosphere with this one, but that is definitely something I need to work out—layers. Thanks for the feedback!

  • ...i think it could use a bit more ambiance...try splitting off the main synth or whatever you have, set up a delay reverb thing, muffle it with a slope, highpass it and set a stereoenhancer all the way with oct to almost the far left, lower the volume and have the main track sidechain so its in the background...maybe a really subtle chorus or something....i think that would make it feel a bit more close but distant at the same time in the background w/ that ambiance
