Story of Ether by Jetdarc

[WARNING: MASSIVE WALL OF LORE] During the meeting, Superior reveals to Onei and Odera why everyone was treating them so harshly, a secret kept from Odera especially: Far, Far in the past, there manifested a sweet and lovable being, Ether, who was no more Astral than she was Spiritual. Ether loved everyone, and everyone loved her back, and through her efforts and power, she would prove herself to be worthy of being an astral commander, where she would continue to contribute to the astral plane as a whole. Considering her roots, Ether wanted to make friendly connections between the Astral Plane (Older of the two) and the Spiritual Plane (Younger of the two), and through a 5 decade long period dubbed as the 5 Geneses, she did just that. Astral beings would mingle with Spiritual beings, sharing, creating, and living amongst each other... But then, just as the 5th decade came to a close, Ether, caught off guard, was sealed away by the Young Gods of the spiritual plane. The greedy Young Gods then invaded the Astral Plane to claim it as their own territory, sparking an epic battle between the Astral Commanders, and most of the Gods. Fortunately, the commanders in their transcendent forms managed to overpower the young gods, and it wasn't too long until they were defeated and pushed back into the spiritual plane, Sundream Cor Caroli destroying the bridge between the planes himself, for the protection of the astral plane. As a tragic result, Ether was lost for good, which had a huge effect on nearly every astral being. | Ether is a white, red and pink angel with Very, VERY long flowing hair truly becoming of an ethereal spirit. She doesn’t look like any ordinary angel though, as her astral side is made apparent by the abstract quirks of the angelic form. [LOOP START - N/A | TIME SIGNATURE - 4/4]

Odera hasn’t been around Ether for too long, but he has good memories of her. She always made an effort to support his endeavors, no matter how silly they were, and after she was lost, he would begin to lose confidence in himself, thinking that he'd have to act like the others to be accepted.

Superior temporarily banned all interaction with the spiritual plane, but ONLY to the spiritual plane. He wanted to do his own research as to why the gods wanted to take the astral plane by force. He always understood that generalizing suspicion to all outsiders wouldn’t be fair, but he also cannot convince everyone of that fact. He’s felt more than his fair share of grief since, but he knows that he shouldn’t dwell on the past either. He needs to keep his head up and be strong for everyone.

Apnea was getting help from the combined efforts of Ether and Superior to comprehend emotion, and the art of limitation. Without Ether, Superior's sole efforts, even with the help of the other commanders, are almost futile, and Apnea hasn't improved much.

Mu Phantazein denies that she's lost for good, and feels the need to find a way to access the spiritual plane to get her back, but try as he may, he just can’t find a way into the spiritual plane like Ether could. Mu has never given up though; in recent times, he has been working on gaining access to other planes as preparation, access to the physical plane being a success. This was also the reason that you were able to enter the astral plane at the very beginning.

Chartreuse used his psychedelic powers on himself as an unhealthy coping mechanism. This went on for a long time, until Superior had to have a serious talk with him. He has overcome this problem since then, and returned to how he originally was.

Arama, while hurt by the loss, accepted that Ether was gone. He felt that there was no point in dwelling in the past, and hatred wasn’t his style. It’s thought that he’s recovered the most, but in reality, he easily breaks down when he starts to think of her again.

Del Aura also became depressed due to the loss of Ether, but she and Del Astra helped each other to overcome the pain. During the battle between the commanders and the young gods, some of the gods suddenly burst into Del Aura’s sectors, catching her off guard, and almost sealing her away as well, which has caused her to develop serious anxiety. This is why she doesn't like others to enter her sectors without permission.

Del Astra became depressed for a long time after Ether was sealed away, but she understood that Ether wouldn’t have wanted her to stay sad, or to develop hatred, so she slowly managed to regain her original confidence and optimism back. For Ether, and for herself.

Cor Caroli would blame himself for his failure to protect Ether, and question his own decisions. His stress now manifests in the form of Anger, and he often resorts to violence whenever problems arise without giving things a second thought. He wants to move on like the rest of the commanders, but he's really struggling.
