the real magic of this comes from boosting the fucking life out of the mids and then getting rid of the high end almost completely
this was a preset from a memphis drum kit i have
i think the only third party plugins were daw cassette (paid plugin but i have a crack), tape cassette 1 (free), and MAYBE ott was in the as well (also a free plugin)

what do you mix your tracks with, by any chance? last time i made a track with a vintage sound, it didn’t sound genuine as this
