We came into this with a mission to combine Lofi and EDM into a song, and I think we did it well. Huge thanks to Niteowl for doing this with me, he helped a lot and without him, none of the Lofi stuff would be possible! He also helped a lot with structuring the setup of devices in a way that helped with organization and made the song better. Thank you Niteowl.

As Mint said we (actually Mints idea) had the idea of fusing chill lo-fi hip-hop with up-beat EDM, though in my opinion this leans a bit more towards DnB but I think the result is still very interesting and something that I'd want to explore more in the future. This was one of my first collabs and of course because of timezones me and Mint were only on simultaneously a few times, but I enjoyed it overall.

that drop at was a bit loud, although the rasselbok mixing wasn't too bad, and I like the way the sounds did eventually blend, but if you turn that bass gain down, and the mid-high range synth gains just a bit in turn, it might help. Remember to look at your waveform decibel readings.

Thanks for the crit Z! Always appreciate it! Though, I actually thought I did the tube distortion tho??? I don't even remember tbh, it feels like this was made ages ago but it was like a week or two ago lol
Also, making adjustments to the length of your notes and/or trying different combinations of decay, sustain, and release values can sometimes be helpful with making things like the piano ring louder, but avoid unnecessary release clouding up your mix especially when you have two sounds in the same freq range like your pianos. Chopping your notes a bit shorter, while adjusting your decay and release may allow them both to shine, especially when you EQ them slightly differently Ok im done XD
I'm looking at your 'piano chords' synth; distortion is applied. Instead, for a more saturated sound using a TubeDistortion, set the distortion to 0 and adjust the gain postively. Using the blending knob (as far as I know) only affects the way the distortion effect is applied, so you can keep that at 0. Also, making some adjustments to the length of your notes, and your main envelope's sustain and release values, you can get a much cleaner piano sound, without any gain adjustments
if reducing your gains doesn't help, try adjusting your centroid channels designated to your mid-high range sounds. maybe turn the high freq knob down a few db and your low and mid freq knob up 2 db
